Can we perform Tayumum?
Question
On Fridays we go for playing cricket ..
At the time of ASAR we do Tayyammum to read Asar Salaah..
Can we perform Asar Salaah with Tayyammum or not....
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Why do your’ll make tayumum? Tayamum is made when one is suddenly stranded and water is not available within a radius of 1.8 kilometres.
A believer ought to be sensitive to salah and that should be the core of his life. It is unlikely that your’ll will deliberately strand yourselves every Friday without water and not carry water thus risking your salah! It is also unlikely that you’ll will not make Wudhu deliberately due to the game.
