Is it allowed to pass urine in the standing position if one can be sure that no urine can splash or reach one's clothes?

Question

This question is asked because some people here claim that they have seen some mosques in Amman with WC containing urinals for standing position micturition.

Answer

It is prohibited to stand and urinate in normal circumstances. It will only be permissible if a person has a valid excuse, for example, unable to sit.
