On Eid day, do we have to pray Zuhr Salaat?

Question

On the days of Eid, is it compulsory to pray Dhuhr? Please give me Daleel(proof).

Answer

Yes, the fact that there is no Shar'ee exemption for performing Dhuhr Salaat on Eid day is sufficient. Those who claim having an exemption should provide proof for that.
