Qadha for missed fasts
Question
When a women delivered a baby in the month of ramdan or due to her pregnancy if she missesbher fasting is it compulsory to her to do kala fasting before a year pass
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh
In principle, a pregnant woman is excused from fasting during the month of Ramadhaan. She should make Qadha of the fasts later. It is not compulsory for her to make Qadha of the fasts before one year passes. However she should not unnecessarily delay the Qadha of the missed fasts.
