Are you allowed to pray Quran katams for nabi saw or any other pious people?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

1) It is permissible to recite the Quran and make intention to give the reward of the recitations to Rasulullah Sallalahu Alihi Wasallam and other pious people.

2) If one merely owns a property at a distance of Safar being 48 miles or more, staying there for lesser then 15 days one will still be a Musafir.                             Merely owning a property is not sufficient to make one a Muqeem until he also has his wife there.(1)

وَيَبْطُلُ الْوَطَنُ الْأَصْلِيُّ بِالْوَطَنِ الْأَصْلِيِّ إذَا انْتَقَلَ عن الْأَوَّلِ بِأَهْلِه(فتاوى هندية١/ ١٤٢دار الفكر)   (1)

وَالْوَطَنُ الْأَصْلِيُّ هُوَ وَطَنُ الْإِنْسَانِ فِي بَلْدَتِهِ أَوْ بَلْدَةٍ أُخْرَى اتَّخَذَهَا دَارًا وَتَوَطَّنَ بِهَا مَعَ أَهْلِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ، وَلَيْسَ مِنْ قَصْدِهِ الِارْتِحَالُ عَنْهَا بَلْ التَّعَيُّشُ بِهَا وَهَذَا الْوَطَنُ يَبْطُلُ بِمِثْلِهِ لَا غَيْرُ، وَهُوَ أَنْ يَتَوَطَّنَ فِي بَلْدَةٍ أُخْرَى وَيَنْقُلَ الْأَهْلَ إلَيْهَا فَيَخْرُجَ الْأَوَّلُ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ وَطَنًا أَصْلِيًّا حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلَهُ مُسَافِرًا لَا يُتِمّ(بحرالرائُق٢/١٤٧ دار الكتاب الإسلامي)
