Meaning of the name Ammarah
Question
What is the meaning of my name Ammarah? And can you please tell me about the biography of the Sahabiya Ammarah (RA).
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The name Ammarah (عمارة) is an Arabic word meaning “1) A lady who is steadfast and strong on her Imaan. 2) A lady who is most punctual in carrying out the commandments of Allah Ta’āla.”[1] Therefore, it is a suitable name.
We could not find any Sahabiyya with the name Ammarah.
