Backbiting

Question

Suppose three person A, B & C. A telling B some bad things againt C, but C is not known by B,only A knows C.is it count as gibot?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

 Yes, it is ghibat (backbiting). A is guilty of doing ghibat and B is guilty of listening to ghibat.[1]  

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
