I have started work on a movie website. Should I work on this website and leave the work without pay?
Question
I am web developer. I have got and started the work on a movie website. I would like to ask, should I work on this website and leave the work without pay. I have to paid $80 for this website. This website provide movies, their title, title picture and link to download, search movies of all kinds.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Assalāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh
Movies (in general) are strictly forbidden as they include music and images that are not permissible to view. Your work to promote movies would fall under the ambit of assisting in sin. Allāh Ta‘ālā says:
ولا تعاونوا على الإثم والعدوان
“And do not assist one another in sin and transgression.” (Qur’ān, 5:2)
As such, we advise you to desist working on the website and, if possible, to remove it.
