In what ways does Allah communicate with us?

Question

In what ways does allah communicate with us?

In what ways does Allah communicate with us? If we have a problem for example and we ask Allah to provide a solution to our problems, but we can't think of any, how does Allah communicate with us?

Would it be through dreams, or would the solution come into our hearts?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

When a person requires guidance from Allah Taala, Rasulullah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam advised to make istikharah in which one solicits guidance and solutions from Allah Taala. You may proceed to the following link for more information on istikharah: http://www.askimam.org/public/question_detail/22465

We are the creation of Allah Taala and Allah Taala knows best how to guide us. When we subject ourselves to Allahs guidance, at times, Allah will show us the solution in our dreams and at times Allah will inspire our hearts with the solution.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
