Can we in South Africa keep Eid ul Adha with Makkah,or must we follow the our lunar calender as observed in Cape Town.

Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has not made Makkah the criteria
for announcement of fast. Rather, he (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has made
the citing of the moon the criteria for commencement of fasting.
