Why was Prophet Ibrahim called “friend of Allah”?
Question
How old was Prophet Ibrahim PHUH? Why was he called the friend of Allah, is it true that he was called frind of Allah because he had no other Muslims around him so Allah made him his friend
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Ebrahim Alayhi Salam was called Khaleelullah (friend of Allah) because of his intense love for Allah and complete submission to the laws of Allah[1].
Ebrahim Alayhi Salaam passed away when he was a hundred and seventy five years of age[2].
