Is a woman's salaat valid if 1 strand of hair is showing?

Question

I've met many women who say that if 1 strand of hair is showing a woman's salaat is invalid. Is this true? If so, can you please explain why. Thank you.

Answer

A strand of hair left open will not invalidate the Salaat. However, a female
should ensure that every strand of hair is covered before commencing her
Salaat.
