Is it permissible to undergo a cornea transplant?

Question

i am a student that has been diagnosed with kerataconus and may need a corneal transplant in my left eye and was wondering of this is permissable in islam.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to undergo a cornea transplant.
