Archery release aid
Question
Is it permissible to wear my archery release around my neck with any type of string ensuring it is under my shirt, just so I don't misplace it?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
According to our understanding, an archery release aid[1] is generally worn on the hand during its use. Nevertheless, it is permissible to place an archery release aid around the neck for the enquired reason.

[1] These invaluable mechanisms allow the archer or bow hunter to pull back the bow with a mechanical device that is much more consistent in the releasing of the bow’s string, giving the arrow much greater consistency and allowing for much improved accuracy. Benefits can also include less torque on the string because of human tendencies to pull to the right or left when at full draw with a bow.
