Is it makrooh or Haraam to smoke?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Smoking cigarettes made from tobacco is makrooh. [1]
