Is it permissible to use the Wi-Fi in my building?
Question
My question is that: The place where I am staying is an apartment . We are getting
access to free internet in the form of Wi-Fi . Is it jaayaz for us to use it on the mobile phones since we have
not subscribed to that service?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
If the Wi-Fi is meant for all the residents of the apartment, then it is permissible to use the Wi-Fi facility.
