Is laser treatment permissible in Islam?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

1.  It is permissible for one to undergo laser surgery for scar treatment.[1]

1. It is not permissible to undergo laser surgery to remove unwanted hair in those parts of the body which are considered to be the satr and necessary to conceal, for example the area between the navel and knee, etc. However, it is permissible in those parts of the body which are not considered to be part of the satr.
