question on studying

Question

Would it be a sin to cheat on your degree course by using other's people's work. What if the person studying doesnt like it but only has a couple of months to finish his/her degree and wants all the work out the way so he/she can concentrate more on Islam?

Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ?Whoever deceives is not from amongst us.? (Tirmidhi) To use other people?s work to achieve a degree is deception. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best Mufti Ebrahim Desai
