Answer
Respected Brother-in-Islam%0D%0A%0D%0AAssalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu%0D%0A%0D%0AAccording to the Hanafi Madhab, it is not permissible to perform Nafl Salaat%0D%0Abetween Asr and Maghrib Salaays. One may perform only that day's Asr Salaat%0D%0Atill before sunset or Qadhaa Salaats till before Makrooh time, i.e. until%0D%0Athe sun is so bright that it dazzles the eyes.%0D%0A%0D%0AChaast Salaat%0D%0AWhen the sun has risen high and there is heat in its rays, the performance%0D%0Aof 2,4, 6,8 or 12 rakaats is called Chaast Salaat.%0D%0AThe Traditions says that the performance of 2 rakaats wipes away all ones%0D%0Asins. There are 360 joints in our body and to pay Sadakah for each is Wajib%0D%0A(obligatory) The 2 rakaaats is enough to pay all the Sadakah. Performance of%0D%0A4 rakaats places the performer's name among the pious ones the performer is%0D%0Agranted protection is until the evening. The performer of 6 rakaats is%0D%0Arelieved of his day's worries. Performance of 8 rakaats places his name%0D%0Aamong the pious ones and the performer ensures a Golden Mansion for himself%0D%0Ain Paradise. (Ref: Tirmizi, Ibne Majah, Ahmad and Abu Yala)%0D%0A%0D%0ASalaat al-Tawbah%0D%0AAfter one has done any sinful act he should read 2 rakaats Nafil after which%0D%0Asincerely repent, feel sorry for his sins, seek His forgiveness and make a%0D%0Afirm decision not to do it again. By His Grace the sin would be forgiven%0D%0A(Ref: Shami)%0D%0AAmirul Momeneen Hazrat Aboobaker (R.A.) relates that the Holy Prophet%0D%0ASallaallahu Alayi Wasallam) said that whenever one has done a sinful act he%0D%0Ashould make wuzu , perform 2 rakaats Nafil and thereafter sincerely repent%0D%0Aand seek Almighty's forgivness. Allah pardons all sins. After relating this%0D%0A, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) then read the following from the%0D%0AQuran:%0D%0A" And those who have done something to be ashamed of or wronged their own%0D%0Asouls. Earnestly bring Allah to mind and ask for forgiveness of their sins,%0D%0Aand who can forgive sins except Allah "(Sura 3-135)%0D%0A%0D%0Aand Allah Ta'ala Knows Best%0D%0A%0D%0AMufti Ebrahim Desai%0D%0AFATWA DEPT.%0D%0A%0D%0A
