If a sister has children, when she takes on a husband, what is his role in their life?

Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) married Umm Salmah (Radhiallaahu Anha) who was a widow with her child from the previous marriage. Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) showed care and love to the child. He also taught the child good manners. (Fadhaail-e-Aamaal pg.207)
