Should I respond to the whispering of Shaytan ?

Question

If a whisper from shaytan comes to you like "walk if you believe in Allah"and you don't walk does that mean you have commited shirk?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Your Imaan and faith in Allah is not conditional on you responding to the thought in reference. You still believe in Allah and His attributes. Not responding to the thought is not shirk.
