Can I deal with relatives who have opened businesses with the aid of a Bank Loan and can I inherit from their property?

Question

I have relatives who have purchased houses and opened buisnesses with the aid of a bank loan, apart from this, their earnings and products are halal. My question is, will it be permissible to eat and deal with them?In the case of inheritance, can I inherit from their property?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

To take a bank loan and involve oneself in interest is a major sin. According to your explanation, your relatives earning and products are Halal. It is permissible to eat with them, deal with them, and inherit from them.
