Mufti Sahib, Can a female travel in a different car then her mahram more than 48 miles, while her mahram is in the car in front of her car?

Question

Are females alowed to give salam to men? Even in the case where a female is writing a letter to a Moulana or Mufti? Is it permissible for a female to give salaam over the phone to her non mahram relatives, eg. Khalou, male cousin etc. Do women have to wear gloves and socks when going out with full purdah?

Answer

If there is a need for both to travel in a different car and the Mahram travels with her throughout the journey, it will be permissible.
