Is it compulsory to trim/cut hair of 3 year old who is performing haj ifrad?

Question

I went for haj with my wife and my three year old son. I made niyah for haj ifrad for my son. I performed all arkans for him but unfortunately I forgot to trim his hair after performing rami on 10th Zil Haj. 1 what shall I do now.Do I need make dam for him? 2 How much I have to pay for this. 3 I have already left Makkah so can make it here in UAE? 4 can I pay an equivalent amount to some needy person back in India?

Answer

It is not compulsory to trim the hair of your son. You may do so if you wish
to.

There is no penalty for not trimming your son's hair timeously. Insha Allah,
you will be rewarded for your son's Nafl Hajj.
