Is our parent in law our mahram? I have come across quoting a hadith that father in law is death.

We have come across a Hadith, 'Brother-in-law is death.'

The father-in-law is a Mahram. However, if there is a fear of illicit
relationship between the father-in-law and daughter-in-law, then strict
Hijaab must be observed.
