Leaving dishes out at night.

Question

My Mum says it is not permisable to leave out empty dishes, bowl etc curses descend at night and collect in them. Is this true?

Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Cover your dishes at night even by at least placing a stick across them.' (Bukhari)
