When a woman is performing her Salaah in Ihraam, Niqaab might touch the face during Ruku and Sajda. What’s the ruling about that?

Question

When a woman is performing her Salaah in Ihraam, Niqaab might touch the face during Ruku and Sajda. What’s the ruling about that?

Answer

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If a woman’s Niqaab (face veil) touches her face during Salaah in the state of Ihraam, she should expend some charity (Sadaqah).[1]

The Salaah of such a woman will be valid.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

Mufti Ebrahim Desai.
