Can I make use of a medical insurance which is paid for by my employer from my salary?
Question
As-salm-kum,
My company deducts a part of my salary for medical insurance... I did not make insurance for my family but the company did. My Question is if my family gets admitted and gets the treatement can I apply for reimbursement and get my money for the hospital expenses.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.
All forms of Conventional insurance are not permissible. You did not take out the medical insurance. The medical insurance taken out by the company is regarded as a gift from the company to you. It is permissible to accept the benefits of the medical insurance from the company.[1]
And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
