Respected Mufti The Sunday Times extra dated 28-01-2001 has an insert stating that 3 nandos outlets are halaal. It also states who the owner's (Muslim) are.

Question

Please could you clarify if this is the truth as many of our fellow-muslims are taking the insert as clarification of halaal status. Was-Salaam

Answer

According to the Shari'ah, if an Aadil (honest and upright Muslim) informs
that the food is Halaal, and there is nothing contrary to his information,
then the food will be regarded as Halaal. (Hidaaya vol.4)
