Is it allowed for a male to chat with a female ONLY about Islam, in the presence of other people in the chat room? The female will be treated as a sister.

Answer

It is not permissible for you to chat with females. You may refer them to
reliable Islamic sites or advise them to refer to their local Ulama.

We have come across many incidents where boys and girls have 'sincere' chat
sessions that lead to a promiscuis relationship.
