What should happen to a rapist?

Question

If someone has raped someone in your family and the land of the law has cleared him of any wrong doing. But you are 100% sure that he was the person who raped the member of your family. What does Islam says to do to that person (rapist).

Answer

Since you are living in a non-Islamic stage, there is nothing you can do by%0D%0Away of retribution. You are not allowed to take the law into your own hands.%0D%0A%0D%0AWe are sure that this incident had deeply hurt you but you will have to take%0D%0Aup courage and adopt Sabr. Ponder much about the day of Qiyaamat whis is the%0D%0Aonly day on which true justice will be done. One of the very purposes why%0D%0AAllah Ta'ala has destined this day is that the nature of this world is such%0D%0Athat there will always be injustice in the world. If there is no Qiyaamat,%0D%0Ait will then follow that all those who had oppressed others have escaped%0D%0Ascott free. On that day, Allah Ta'ala will extract stern retribution from%0D%0Aall oppressors.%0D%0A%0D%0AHand this affair over to Allah Ta'ala's court and carry on with your life.%0D%0AIf you do not adopt this attitude of Tafweez (handing this affair over to%0D%0AAllah Ta'ala), you will not find peace of mind.%0D%0A%0D%0AMay Allah Ta'ala guide us all, Aameen.%0D%0A%0D%0Aand Allah Ta'ala Knows Best%0D%0A%0D%0AMufti Ebrahim Desai%0D%0AFATWA DEPT.%0D%0A
