Is domain parking business halaal?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Domain parking is the registration of an Internet domain name without using it for services such as e-mail or a website i.e. without placing any content on the domain.[1]  In the business of domain parking an individual sells the domain name. The domain name is a legitimate article of sale.[2] The increase of value is a natural consequence of the demand for the domain name. Hence the business of domain parking is permissible.
