Question
assalamu Alaikum w w
What is the meaning of the name SHAYAN?
Is it a good name to keep for a boy?

Answer
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
Shayan is a Persian name which means deserving and worthy[1]. Thus, it is a suitable name to keep for a boy. However, we advise you to name your children with names that bear Islaamic identity, such as the names of the honorable prophets (‘Alaihimus salaam) and the illustrious Sahaabah (Radhiyallaahu ‘anhum)[2].
