Is Diyya boy’s name or girl’s name?
Question
i named my daughter diyya. but my friends are telling me it is a boys name. is it true? should i change the name? thank you.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu `alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The name Diyya is appropriate.
Diyya means “an earthen lamp” [i]
And Allah knows best.
