What is Hurmat al-Musahara

Question

If a grandfather (80 years of age) hugs his granddaughter (aged 15) with possibility of some lust, what is the impact on the following relations?

1.      His wife

2.      His son’s wife

Also, the family is living abroad and son calls his parents every other year with the visit visa, so that he can do there khidmah (look after them, serve them) and wife stops him from doing so. What should be done?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Who will determine that the grandfather hugged his granddaughter with lust?

Possibility of lust does not constitute Hurmat Musāharah.
