Question
Is it permissible to sell bottled sea water that people may use in religious rituals?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to sell bottled sea water to people that may use it for religious rituals[i].[ii] [iii]The seller of the water does not need to be privy to the intentions of the purchaser[iv].
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
