What do you(hanafi) say regarding saying "Rabbigfirli" between two sajda in fard prayer with Imam or as a Imam?

Question

What do you(hanafi) say regarding saying "Rabbigfirli" between two sajda  in fard prayer with Imam or as a Imam?

Answer

Assalāmu `alaikum Warahmatullāhi Wabrakatuh,

Abdullah ibn Abbas radiallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah salallahu ῾alayhi wasallam used to recite between the two sajdahs:

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي

Tirmizi pg169 Edition Abu misbah

This Dua may be read in fardh and nafl salaats and is a means of fulfilling ones Jalsa (posture between two sajadhs) with ease which is compulsory.

Dars Tirmizi vol 2 pg 54

And Allah Ta'āla Knows Best,

Muftī Ebrahim Desai
