Is it permitted to pronounce azaan in the masjid for jummah khutba or it should be given at the masjid doorstep.
Answer
Assalāmu `alaikum Warahmatullāhi Wabrakatuh,
It is an established Sunnah to pronounce the Azaan of the Jumuah Khutbah in front of the Khateeb (one delivering the Khutbah - sermon). This has been the accepted practice since the inception of Islam till this day.[1]
