Touching the screen of a digital Quran

Question

I have an iPod Touch screen player. i just download a Quran in it in jpeg format, because i want to recite when i m in the way. I always try to have Wudhu but some i cant do wudhu. In that case can i touch the screen of Quran.

Answer

You should avoid touching the screen of the iPod if you are not in the state of Wudū’. The Fuqahā’ (Jurists) have mentioned that it is not permissible to touch the Holy Qur'ān, whether the verses are written in an actual book like a proper Mushaf, or if they are written on a wall or inscribed on a coin etc. Thus, the same ruling will apply to an iPod screen.
