Can i pray sitting down?
Question
i just wanted to know that im nearly 25 weeks pregnant,but i have the following troubles - have sharp backaches, legs have pains in them like my nerve is being pulled,get breathless very quickly like on my 2nd rakat or something i sometimes forget how many rakats iv read and i get too hot. but after all of that i still ask Allah(SWT) to give me stegnth to pray so i do try very hard but i pray sitting down am i allowed to do that.i read in another website they didnt really answear my question.please also make dua that i always do right and always stay a strong muslim.

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh.
In such circumstances such as your, it will be permissible to perform salāh in the sitting posture. May Allah strengthen your Imān and increase your zeal to earn His pleasure. Amīn.
( إذا تعذر ( 1 ) وهو الحقيقي ومثله الحكمي ذكره فقال ( أو تعسر ) كل القيام ( بوجود ألم شديد أو خاف ) بأن غلب على ظنه بتجربة سابقة أو إخبار طبيب مسلم حاذق أو ظهور الحال ( زيادة المرض أو ) خاف ( بطأه ) أي طول المرض ( به ) أي بالقيام ( صلى قاعدا بركوع وسجود ) لما روى عن عمران بن الحصين قال كان بي بواسير فسألت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الصلاة فقال " صل قائما فإن لم تستطع فقاعدا فإن لم تستطع فعلى جنب " زاد النسائي " فإن لم تستطع فمستلقيا لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها " (مراقي الفلاح مع حاشية الطحطاوي
