Do i have a share in my grandfathers inheritance?

Question

just want to find out that after the death of my father, me, my mother and sisters do have a share in my grandfather money and property. My grandfather and all the other brother and sisters of my father are still alive. Want to know what islam say in this context

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1.      If your grandfather passes away, his children (your uncles, aunts) will inherit the estate.

2.      You and your siblings and mother will not inherit the estate.

3.      Your late father has passed on before your grandfather’s death; hence you all as his children and wife will not inherit from his estate.

ولا يرثن مع الصلبيين الا ان يكون بحذائهن او اسفل منهن غلام فيعصبهن , والباقى بينهم للذكر مثل حظ الانثيين  , ويسقطن بالابن
