Marrying a girl who has committed Zina in the past

Question

I have met a revert muslim and intend to marry her inshallah! She reverted to islam a year ago and her thirst for knowledge and willingness to practice islam outshines most other muslim girls i know.

However during her teenage years, she committed Zina!

I have heard of a hadeeth of the prophet (saw) in which an incident is narrated wherein the prophet (saw) has encouraged young males to marry young virgin females instead of older women (i think it was ok for this one young sahaba to marry an older women beacause he had young siblings who needed to be looked after.)

#Furthurmore i have read that there is a hadeeth which to refers to fornicators not being allowed to get married to chaste muslims (ie they should get married to one from themselves {another fornicator]) {is this true?}

Having said the above, would it be permissable for me to marry this girl?

Jazakallah

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

It is permissible for you to marry the girl in reference in spite of her having committed zina in the past.

And Allah knows best
