Names of the Prophet (SAW)
Question
sir my question relates to one of the asma of our beloved Prohet Muhammad SAW ,Habibullah, can u please provide me with the exact reference from Hadith and Quran about the proclamation of the Lord SWT or the Prophet SAW himself about the referred name. iheard that there is a hdith zaeef in trimidhi and some ahadith of isra where the lordSWT has adressed Him SAW as Habeeb but unable to trace the referrence i was into doing a research on the names of the Prophet SAW will be oblige

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Amongst the names of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) was ‘Habibullah’. He referred to himself by this name. (Jaami’ Al-Tirmidhi, vol 2, pg 202, HM Sa’eed / Al-Jaami’ Li Shu’bi al-Imaan, vol 3, pg 81, Al-Rushd)
He was referred to this name as well by:
- Allah Ta’ala, as mention in Al-Jaami’ Li al-Hadith al-Qudsi (pg 866, Al-Islaami)
- Jibraeel (alayhis salaam) (Al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, vol 5, pg 30, Al-Ilm wal al-Hikam)
- Hassaan Bin Thabit (radiyallaahu anhu) (Sharh Ma’aani Al-Aathaar, vol 12, pg 79, Ilmiyya)
أن إبراهيم خليل الله وهو كذلك وموسى نجي الله وهو كذلك وعيسى روح الله وكلمته وهو كذلك وآدم اصطفاه الله وهو كذلك ألا وأنا حبيب الله ولا فخر(الترمذي)
فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : يا جبريل هذا الرحيل من الدنيا فبشرني ما لي عند الله ؟ قال : أبشرك يا حبيب الله أني قد تركت أبواب السماء قد فتحت والملائكة قد قاموا صفوفا صفوفا بالتحية(المعجم الكبير)
ونضرب هام الدارعين وننتمي ... إلى حسب من حرم غسان باهر ... ... ولولا حبيب الله قلفا تكرما .(شرح معاني الاثار)
