with which husband will a woman who has married more than once be in aakirah?

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

Some narrations indicate she will be with the last husband she was in marriage with, while other narrations indicate she will have an option to choose from the husbands with whom she desires to stay with.  Some Ulama have reconciled both narrations and state that if all the husbands are equal in character, she will be with the last husband.  If they were not all equal in character, she will have an option to choose between them.

- عن عائشة رضى الله عنها عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال المرأة لأخر ازواجها (احكام النساء)

- وعن عروة بن رويم اللخمى قال لما احتصر موسى عليه السلام قال له امرأته سل الله ان يزوجنيك فى الجنة قال ان احببت ذلك لا تتزوجى بعدى ولاتأكلى من رشح جبينك قكانت تتبرقع بعده للقاط فاذا رآها الحصادون لم يخالطوها فاذا احست بذلك تركته وفى رواية اخرى فان المرأة لأخر ازواجها (احكام النساء)

- عن ام سلمة رضى الله عنها قلت يا رسول الله المرأة تزوج الزوجين والثلاثة والاربعة ثم تموت فتدخل الجنة ويدخلون معها من يكون زوجها منهم قال انها تخير فتختار احسنهم خلقا فتقول يا رب ان هذاكان احسنهم خلقا فى دار الدنيا فزوجنيه يا ام سلمة ذهب حسن الخلق بخير الدنيا والآخرة (المعجم للطبرانى)
