Car insurance

Question

is insurance of car haraam. if third party insurance is available.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

It is not permissible to subscribe to any conventional insurance scehme as they contain elements of interest and gambling which are expressly prohibited in the Quraan.

The same ruling applies to third party insurance.
