I was wondering if girls my age are allowed to dye their hair...For hair removal is it acceptable for a girl to get her underarms waxed by another female?

Question

1. I am in highschool and I was wondering if girls my age are allowed to dye their hair. If dyed using store bought products is our wudhu still valid?

2. For hair removal is it acceptable for a girl to get her underarms waxed by another female, because its very hard to do it by ones' self.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

  1. It is permissible to dye the hair in colours that are generally used like brown, reddish brown etc. It will not be permissible to dye the hair black, pink, purple etc. and all such colours that are generally used by immoral women.
  2. It is permissible for a woman to wax another woman's armpits.
