Is it permisible to work on Eid Day?

Question

Dear Mufti Saheb, can you tell me what is the islamic point of view on working on Eid Day.I am a self employed person. Jazakallah Khair

Answer

In principle, it is not prohibited to work on the day of Eid. However, the
sacredness of the day of Eid should be displayed. Since you are self
employed , we advise you to celebrate the day of Eid.
