How is Zakat calculated?

Question

Respected Mufti Sahib, How does one calculate zakat for gold and/or money savings? What if someone is in a debt, how would this person pay Zakat? The reason I need to know is because I presently have a car which I purchased on an interest free loan. I am still paying for this car through a monthly installment. Jazakallah Khair.
