Which hair should be removed within 40 days?

Question

I wanted to know exactly from which parts of the body the hair should be removed according to islam(please mention the exact limits, if possible).Also the pubic hair should be removed in maximum 40 days.If not , what is the punishment?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

The hair of the armpits and pubic hair must be removed. The pubic hair is above the private part. If one does not remove the unwanted hair of the armpits and pubic hair after forty days, it will be makrooh and a sin.
