I know that taking picturesthrough camera is haram....But what is the ruling if somebody see that pictures ...
Question
I know that taking picturesthrough camera is haram....But what is the ruling if somebody see that pictures for example if u visit ur relatives and they show u the pictures of wedding etc or they send u through email?

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh
It is not permissible to take pictures of animate objects with a camera. Similarly it is not permissible to intentionally look at such pictures. However, one will not be sinful if ones gaze accidentally falls onto the pictures. (Tasweer Ke Shar’i Ahkaam Pg: 77, Ash Sharhul Kabir Lid Dardeer)
والحاصل أنه يحرم تصوير حيوان عاقل أو غيره إذا كان كامل الاعضاء إذا كان يدوم إجماعا، وكذا إن لم يدم على الراجح كتصويره من نحو قشر بطيخ ويحرم النظر إليه إذ النظر إلى المحرم حرام (الشرح الكبير للشيخ الدردير)
